”What’s wrong with me?”
I used to get mad at myself when I couldn’t do things that were simple in theory, but the first action steps seemed impossible.
I’d tell myself, “just do it!”
💪🏻Just hit the live button and talk.
💪🏽Just tell them about it and sell your thing.
💪🏿Just sell your house and more to the country!
The trick to that first step, I learned, is two-sided. It’s a balance between the energies of “just do it” and “how can I make this FEEL like the right next move for me?”
It’s a bit of a psychological game, and it might be the most valuable skill I’ve ever invested in learning.
Next month in Anchored Artist, it’s what my group will be learning how to do. We’ll be picking a mental hold-up, and learning to take action on in it a way that feels like the right next move. You’ll pick ”your thing, ” but it might look like:
* I can’t sell originals
* When I try really hard, it doesn’t work
* I’m not ready to put myself out there
I can’t promise action steps won’t be scary, but the desire to take steps forward and work though it will be stronger than the fear.
